Sanyu Kensetsu ltd. / Hiroyuki Ito Architects, The project was to demolish a warehouse on a corner of the site of an office building in front of the station and turn it into an apartment complex. A vacant lot between two sites was developed as a courtyard that can be accessed from both the main road and the residential area, and the apartment complex was planned with consideration to the relationship with the courtyard. The idea was that the courtyard surrounding the camphor tree inherited from the ward would not only be a place for people who live and work here to relax, but also a place that connects the community., Publisher, Japan - Oct. 2023

Shimada Asset Partners Ltd. / Hiroyuki Ito Architects, Buildings are built very close to each other around the site, and it was expected that the interior conditions, such as sunlight and ventilation, would be quite different on each floor. Rather than creating separate housing units, we thought it would be better to properly combine them into one housing unit so that both light and dark could be equally utilized as spatial qualities.
